Moved from another page, more suitable here:

In 1956 the Social Democrat Fagerholm got one elector's vote less than needed to be elected, and Urho Kekkonen was elected. (Fagerholm served however three times as Prime Minister, and after that as Speaker of the Parliament.)

Now accomplished. /Tuomas 03:20, 2 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, however, how much there ought to be written on the failed attempt to make Fagerholm a General Secretary of the UN. /Tuomas 04:17, 2 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

As it now stands, it seems as if he retired after 1958, which maybe isn't quite the truth?
--Ruhrjung 08:21, 17 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Contrary to what the article says, Fagerholm was never the chairman of the Social Democratic Party.

The article implies that Soviet "sanctions" against Fagerholm's 3rd Cabinet (1958-59) were caused by USSR's disapproval of Fagerholm, which is not correct. Instead, USSR disapproved of the goverment's Minister of Social Affairs, Väinö Leskinen.

--This article is poor in citations and sources. It only offeres references to the most unquestionable fact about the main positions Fagerholm held, but nothing to verify all the claims in the core of the article. Hopefully someone can offer the references. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.120.231.113 (talk) 03:00, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
