Mothering Sunday and Cybele

[edit]

Actually, contrary to the above statement, Mothering Sunday IS "mothers day" as we know it today. It was where the tradition originally started. Many christian people, not just priests and such, would return to their mother church on this day. Some of them would pick flowers in the church yard and go visit their mother. Hence, the first Mothers day GIFTS as well.

However, that is not my purpose here. There is a mistake on the page. The Greeks who worshipped Cybele were NOT a cult, it was a more Pagan-style religion. Only a Christian would call Pagans (and other religions) a "cult", or even a devil-worshipper. Please fix this.

Ukrainian society also celebrates International Women's Day, a holiday adopted under the Soviet Union that remained a tradition in Ukraine after its collapse. [1] Catnipintac (talk) 03:33, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.
The article already says Ukrane celebrates Mother's Day. RudolfRed (talk) 03:51, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
