Fact

[edit]

William Laud, the Archbishop of Canterbury was executed in 1645 after being prominently involved in debates about church architecture and internal decour. This undoubted fact needs to be related to the structure and furnishings of St Matthias as it was built. (Or removed). Wetman 13:18, 25 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Importance

[edit]

I found it somewhat disconcerting to see the page degraded from mid-importance to "low" importance, without any discussion. Bearing in mind the paucity of a) commonwealth churches in London, and also of buildings related to the East India Company. I feel concerned that this judgement may have been a little hasty.Leutha (talk) 18:49, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
