Copy and paste of an external article makes up the bulk of this page. Under the Music Production header, everything after the first sentence appears to be a direct copy-paste of news or magazine articles. I am not qualified to repair this article (lack of knowledge or even interest in the subject) and don't want to remove that much if I can't put something in it's place. Still, the entry as written doesn't belong on Wikipedia.

Swizz Beatz

[edit]

It would be cool to have a list of the songs Irv has worked on, just like on Swizz Beatz page. Anyone know where to look for information like that so a list can be compiled?

During an interview with American radio and television personality Wendy Williams Wendy Williams Experience on August 30, 2007, he admitted to having an affair with his artist, Ashanti.no source —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.180.197.143 (talk) 02:43, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did Irv name himself after someone who hates black people?

Why did Irv name himself after someone who hates black people?

He chose the stage name Irv Gotti by naming himself after John Gotti. This is ironic because John Gotti was not very fond of African-Americans, he was seen on video saying "Being a (N-Word) is an embarrassment". www.thesmokinggun.com/blowingupgotti Blowing up Gotti -Episode 2: Parenting, Gotti Style

BLP

[edit]

John Gotti was seen on video saying "Being a nigger is an embarrassment".

Irv Gotti said "I'm black, I love black women. We're defenders of black women."

The preceding statements were given undue weight in the article, and I have removed them per WP:BLP. Please discuss here before adding again. Thanks! Plastikspork (talk) 18:54, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, they were not formatted as prose, and hence are appear as WP:TRIVIA. I would not object to a controversy section which included claims of racism, but it would have to be from a reliable outside source, and not original research. Thanks. I will put them in a different place —Preceding unsigned comment added by The shiz nitte (talkcontribs)

I don't believe it is trivia. He named himself after John Gotti. John Gotti made racist comments. His name is important. The comments are important. If you want to include the facts in some better way that makes you happy, thats fine. This is not Irv Gotti's birth name, he chose it —Preceding unsigned comment added by The shiz nitte (talkcontribs) 19:10, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gender and Irv Gotti

[edit]

Given all that has happened with Irv Gotti and Ashanti, could we add a section about Irv and Gender politics to his page? 169.226.138.220 (talk) 21:07, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
