In regards to the “Cultural Impact” section, I’m not sure I understand its relevance. The section seems to primarily serve as a description of a Comedy Central parody video, and lends nothing in terms of actual cultural impact - which is later elaborated on in the Reception section. Could a more experienced Wiki user explain or delete this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 40.138.114.112 (talk) 18:38, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

An anonymous user changed the height measurement from 5ft 5in (165cm) to 5ft 7in (170cm). I don't know if this is an actual correction, or subtle vandalism (I hope the former). Could someone who knows check this out? -Rholton 00:06, Apr 24, 2005 (UTC)

I don't think Shang Tsung is the staturesque 5ft 11in that he is listed at in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, so I put 5ft 5in originally but then changed it later. He definitely looks around the 5ft 6in range in MK2, if you ever examine the heights of the kombatants.

Shang Tsung Barely looks 5"6 in Mk2. He looks shorter than the average woman.

Can someone please check the edit by 68.80.94.16? He has recently made a number of other spurious edits, and since I don't know much about this topic, I can't fact-check it myself. --mdd4696 20:59, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The edit is accurate. Cage killed Goro in the movie, but that isn't canon; Kang killed him in the games' plot. Jeff Silvers 07:44, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Goro was never killed and Johnny Cage did in fact defeat Goro, as elaborated upon in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. Goroliath
Shaolin Monks isn't canon. SilentRage 13:26, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can Shang Tsung transform into anyone in MK: Deadly Alliance?

nope, he didn't have the ability to change into anyone in Deadly Alliance, although he transforms into Kung Lao in the opening cinematic to sneak up on Liu KangThemasterofdisguise 18:26, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Also, why isnt "Mantis" listed as one of his fighting styles? He uses it in MK:Deception if you play as him (i know it was just because Crane was left out of the game, but he still had it)Themasterofdisguise 18:26, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Er, how do you play as him? I've got Deception and the most you can do is play against him in the Netherealm. EVula 18:27, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
oh yeah, im an idiot, forgot to mention *through the use of a third-party cheat device*. He has Snake and Mantis styles (no straightsword, as im pretty sure those animations were removed, similar to the absence of Crane)Themasterofdisguise 18:32, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You can't play as him, unless you use some kind of 3rd party device. Either way, he definatly should not be listed to have an appearance in MK:D. ~ The Haunted Angel 18:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I'm not so sure about his Deception fighting style inclusion, since you can't access it through normal means. None of the cameo characters (Jax and Sonya, for example) list their styles, since they weren't really playable in the game. Perhaps put a mention of his MK:D cameo appearance in the trivia, and mention the fighting styles there, but certainly not in the infobox. EVula 18:48, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shang Tsung Origin =

[edit]

It is hinted in the MK comics that Shang Tsung was on earth side but was secretly working for Shao Kahn to achieve his own selfish goals and that he was cursed by his Gods because his victories in the MK tournament ware been given to Shao Kahn so the gods cursed him to age rapidly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 177.192.67.39 (talk) 21:21, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
