Can someone give an example of the second definition? Kent Wang 12:16, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I know of two more definitions of a skyhook:

  • in technical climbing it is a very small hook which attaches to smallest protrusions. it is attached to the harness and allows the climber to rest. (google image search, I am unaware whether the device is manufactured by other brands as well)
  • in skateboarding, two skyhooks (external link) can be attached to the topside of the board to facilitate jumping and enhance stability during a ride, very useful on freeboards for example. (it is a term used across brands, not a single brand name itself)

If someone would make Skyhook a disambiguation page, I will collect more information on these kinds of skyhook. -- Ravn 12:30, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Technology: not!

[edit]

The technology heading has some topics beneath it that are definitely not technology-related. I took a cut at editing the list, but the edits seem to have disappeared. Is there a special editing requirement for disambiguation pages? Wcmead3 (talk) 19:42, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
