Dump

[edit]

This article seems to be a series of cut & paste dumps from a fan site. Much comes from here, where the author seems to have released the work from copyright. Much of the information is trivial, without context, and in interviewer/interviewee format, rather than paragraphs. I had to read far down the page to figure out who this person IS. More edits.

[edit]

Okay, I did a few more edits to this article. I put some of the old quotes back in, with some small edits to a few. As well, I added onto the part "Rammstein" part of the biography section. I'd like to add some more about Feeling B, but I'm not sure where to get good information on that. If anybody knows, please tell me.

Height

[edit]

There exist no official height listings for any of the band members,Stop adding them. Whoever is adding them is getting them off of some free site that just added any height they thought the band was.The heights are incorrect.

General information about Rammstein

[edit]

Should general information about Rammstein (album release dates, etc.) be included in this article? --Der Sporkmeister 18:15, 18 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Can we get any citation on "sick and decadent country"

[edit]

I've been trying hard to find one, but so far I came up empty. CharonX 20:50, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Christian Lorenz was born in East Berlin. The family was quite prosperous: the father is a design engineer, later he even became the director of his enterprise. Flake in the name has a German ("Flake"), not English ("Flake") pronunciation, moreover, according to Christian himself in an interview, that "Flake" is not a pseudonym, as is sometimes believed, [1] but his real the name[2][3] given at birth, although the spelling in quotation marks is also common in the press.[4]
Contrary to popular belief, Christian did not receive a higher education: “In order to enter a higher educational institution, you had to first serve. But I didn’t want to go into the army, so I had to give up my career as a doctor.” He worked as a loader at a slaughterhouse, then trained as a toolmaker. Together with Paul Landers and Christoph Schneider, a little later he turned out to be the most professional musician in Rammstein: behind their shoulders was participation in Feeling B - a group that made a name for itself in East Germany even before the fall of the Berlin Wall. She was one of the first German punk bands that managed to release a CD back in 1989. The group then released two more albums and videos.
Prior to the fall of the Wall, he refused to be drafted into the National People's Army, repeatedly taking sick leave from doctors and describing himself to the military district command as mentally unstable.
According to Lorenz, after the fall of the Berlin Wall and the introduction of the German mark, his earnings as a musician were not enough, so he agreed to state-sponsored anti-missile activities. He founded a non-profit association with friends and ran, among other things, an art gallery, which was only moderately successful, in which he and his colleagues exhibited their paintings.[5]
Christian Lorenz is in his second marriage since 2008 to artist Jenny Rosemeyer. Цйфыву (talk) 21:30, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Keyboard?

[edit]

I'd also like to know more about the types of keyboard and equipments he uses. Shawnc 22:58, 6 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Keine Lust Translation

[edit]

According to Herzeleid.com, Keine Lust popularly translates to 'Don't feel like it'. Considering the obvious close relationship between Herzeleid.com and Rammstein. How ever, the lyrics can not be specificly translated by anyone except Rammstein.

Children

[edit]

How does anyone prove he has 4 children. according to the man himself he says he only has one. can that be corrected? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Vapora (talkcontribs) 05:27, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately, there are few reliable sources of information about Christian, so the Wikipedia articles on Rammstein and its members are quite inaccurate. If you have a good reference, by all means correct the article. ~MDD4696 05:32, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sadly i have only heard from him in a conversation last year, i have no sort of article to produce. but i dotn want peopel to have the wrong info on him...
According to Richard Z. Kruspe-Bernstein in an interview, Flake has 3 kids, Till has 4 kids, Richard, Ollie and Paul each have 2 kids and Schneider has none. --Redkane 07:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

America

[edit]

Well this is not related to the the article itself but a paragraph, "Flake seems to dislike America and most of American culture" as much as I know AMERICA is a continent nor a country, this statment should be changed to UNITED STATES

== It is widely accepted to call the USA America. It stays.

Water or custard?

[edit]

The Till Lindemann page says:"A statement from Sgt. Thomas Radula of the Worcester Police Department stated that Lindemann was simulating sex with Flake onstage "using a phallic object that shot custard over the crowd." (emphasis mine) - so what is it, water or custard? JAL 83.80.81.236 14:14, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The band uses water, custard, and liquor in the dildo, so either way could be right, however i don't know what they used in it at that particular show. Jibba-Jabbaman

His name pronounciation

[edit]

Hello all. His IPA prounciation is wrong "Flake" is writen in the IPA the english wahy but not the german way where it would be more like "Flahk-uh" and not Flake as in the snow flake. Since I don't know IPA maybe someone can change it.Tapio1994 (talk) 21:35, 21 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Flake's books

[edit]

Flake has written two books that i was surprised not to read anything about here. I don't feel confident doing the edits myself but if someone is up to it, the books are his autobiography "Der Tastenficker" (doesn't seem to have been released in English, however) and "Heute hat die Welt Geburtstag" ("It's The World's Birthday Today")--Jaffaceksi (talk) 05:18, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
