Name change

[edit]

On 2 Feburary 2002 the Northern Province requested that its name be changed to Limpopo and only on 11 June 2003 did the Minister of Arts, Culture, Science and Technology accept the names Limpopo and Polokwane.--Jcw69 09:12, 11 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Origin of the name

[edit]

Does anyone know where the name Limpopo comes from? What does it mean? Joziboy 25 March 2006, 16:23 (UTC)

Fruit material

[edit]

I've removed the section discussing Limpopo's fruit which was recently added. I was a little unsure whether this represented simple vandalism, perhaps someone with more expertise on Limpopo could make a decision about whether it requires a separate section to discuss its fruit growing. - Politepunk 14:44, 23 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation

[edit]

Limpopo can also refer to (at least) Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park, Limpopo National Park and Limpopo River, but also Limpopo cricket team and maybe other things. I suppose there may be a need to add a disambiguation page at this point. I can try to do this soon, but if any of you is used to that kind of addition, please do. Cheers!
