Vacated wins

[edit]

There's a discussion on how to handle Louisville's vacated wins and championship at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_College_Basketball#How_to_handle_Louisville?.—Bagumba (talk) 06:49, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The current handling of Pitino's vacated wins does not follow the agreed procedure in the link shown above. Further, it does not match how other coaches' vacated wins are handled, such as Jim O'Brien, Jim Boeheim, Steve Fisher, Mike Jarvis, Jerry Tarkanian, and John Calipari. I attempted to add the highlighted colors for conference championships in 2012, 2013 and 2014, and was flagged as violating wikipedia's guidelines and potential vandalism. There is obviously someone who is very vigilant and passionate about this issue so I am going to leave this comment here for someone else to deal with. I hope the vacated records are treated consistently across all coaches going forward. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.143.129.78 (talk) 20:40, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2019-20 Greek Championship

[edit]

Panathinaikos BC was declared champion of the 2019-20 Greek Championship which wasn't finished due to COVID-19 Pandemic. Pitino coached Panathinaikos BC that season but left the team before its declaration as champion and before Greek COVID-19 lockdown. On March 20, 2020 Panathinaikos announced mutual agreement to terminate the contract with Pitino. So, Pitino must be credited with this championship. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:587:C806:3CB9:D8A8:1223:1ADC:7EC (talk) 21:35, 16 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
