Lawrence Durrell - "Indian-French author"?

[edit]

The Births section says, "1912 – Lawrence Durrell, Indian-French author, poet, and playwright (d. 1990)" , but "Indian-French" isn't stated in the Lawrence Durrell article? JezGrove (talk) 16:41, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The idea that LD could be in any way Indian or French is really weird: he was born in India, yes, but of Anglo-Irish parents and grew up in a very Anglo culture, never revisiting India after, I think, the age of 12 or less; and French? Because he lived there? I don't think so. Achar Sva (talk) 09:47, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed! Though he seems to have had some problems with his British citizenship. JezGrove (talk) 18:41, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, there was nothing in the linked article to support this DOB. I have removed the entry. Toddst1 (talk) 19:01, 4 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it shouldn't be included as per WP:EVENTDOY so I've removed it from the list. Thanks for noticing it, Suonii180 (talk) 13:17, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
