Grammar

[edit]

Hello

While describing the rifle, past tense was used in some instances incorrectly.

In this article, saying that "K98k was a bolt action rifle..." would mean that either no K98k's exist anymore or it is no longer a bolt action rifle. The correct saying therefore is "K98k is a bolt action rifle...".

Orphaned references in Karabiner 98k

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Karabiner 98k's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "WHO":

  • From Denmark: "Life expectancy". World Health Organization. 6 July 2016. Archived from the original on 16 October 2014. Retrieved 20 August 2017.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 13:36, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@.RUAAC: could you please fill in the ref mentioned here that you added last year? -- Fyrael (talk) 20:17, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, I've filled it in. -- Fyrael (talk) 20:21, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

German Infantry Doctrine

[edit]

This is a poorly sourced and cited section, containing a measly 3 sources that only loosely correlate to the topic at hand. Between this fact, and with consideration to the fact that not a single other article for any small arm on the English Wikipedia contains a section dedicated not to the firearm itself, but instead to a supposed doctrinal usage for one country in a small period of time that the weapon saw use, I advocate for the deletion of this section. 68.116.213.239 (talk) 13:30, 18 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would expand this section with ZF39 Scope https://www.americanrifleman.org/content/world-war-ii-german-sniper-systems-rifles-optics-ammo/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdxVqFX9Iwo WWIIEnjoyer (talk) 20:58, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
