MUNICIPALITY REFORM

[edit]

Finished updating all the former and current municipalities so that they are now in the correct categories. This category contains 99 pages - 98 municipalities and the "Municipalities of Denmark" page.

Note that the work with updating Wikipedia to reflect the municipality reform is far from done. I suspect that many towns and cities listed in Wikipedia still reflect the administrative subdivisions prior to the reform. I have updated quite a few while updating the municipalities, but in no way do I expect to have catched them all. If someone wants, they can go through the Category:Cities and towns in Denmark and the Category:Denmark geography stubs and check and update every single entry. I won't be the one doing so, at least not any time soon. Updating the municipalities was slave-work enough for me for a while :-) Lilac Soul 10:45, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot for your efforts. I did the articles about the regions and counties, and whenever I came across an article about a town where updating was easy, I did so. The biggest part of the job is probably done now. Valentinian T / C 15:50, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, more work still remains. It looks like you haven't consistently moved the population figures, area figures, neighbouring municipalities list and the mayor's name to a separate section about the old municipality. E.g. Skanderborg municipality and Odder municipality contained a mix of information about the new and old municipalities. Valentinian T / C 12:17, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think the old entities should get their own pages. So if the area changed we have Someby, Someby Municipality, Someby Municipality (1970-2006). LocodeMaster (talk) 17:37, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
