Oops, my bad: The entry should be called Tabula Rasa (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, not "Tabula Rasa (Buffy episode)". For some reason, Wiki will not let me move it, even though I am logged in. I'd be grateful if somebody could correct this. Wolf Deunan 00:07, Jun 25, 2004 (UTC)

"True selves"

[edit]

The usage of the term "true selves" here is ambiguous and confusing. We could have the nature / nurture / soul / social construction / oversoul / subconscious / etc. argument for days on this page and not agree what the "true self" is. I plan on working this article a bit so, rather than draw out the discussion, I'm simply removing the instances of this phrase. I will instead replace it with a reference to the Lockeian "tabula rasa" theory, after which the episode is named. - Che Nuevara, the Democratic Revolutionary 17:20, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

UK airing

[edit]

Despite the claim made in this article, I've definitely seen this episode aired before the 9pm watershed on both BBC Two and Sky One, although with notable cuts. Can anyone else confirm this? Dan K 18:57, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Minor tweaks

[edit]

I made some tweaks to the "Acting and writing" and "Arc significance" sections, mostly in order to make it sound more encyclopedic (for instance, I removed the somewhat superfluous "It is magic, after all" sentence), or to remove POVish-sounding statements such as the episode being "funny" (it's more neutral and encyclopedic to refer to it as "humorous" or "comedic", don't you think?). I think I edited a couple of other lines for clarity as well. I hesitate to do more because this is one of the episodes I still haven't managed to catch, even though I've read the summaries here and elsewhere (namely, the official website for it that was over on UPN's website). 9:00 watershed

[edit]

"This is one of the three episodes which are not broadcast in the UK or Ireland before the nine o'clock watershed."

What is the 9 o'clock watershed? The sentence should probably be rephrased so people outside of the UK/Ireland know what it is refering to. Koweja 20:57, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The statement is false anyway. All of those episodes have been shown in the UK prior to 9pm. I've removed it.--Nalvage 21:28, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Buffy608.jpg

[edit]

Image:Buffy608.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
