Uhm... Dani was never a member of the X-Men, was she?

And also... can't she project illusions of people's greatest fears and their greatest desires? Joeyconnick 00:07, 2005 Jan 18 (UTC)

On the X-Men point, I'm not sure. I know she was hanging about with the X-Men in the "Revolution" time period (c. X-Men 100-108), but I don't have those issues to check her exact status.
She was briefly a member of the X-Men arount the "Revolution" timeframe, and also appeared in X-Men: Black Sun.
On the illusions point, yeah, you're right and her powers (after one HELLavalot of screwing around with them) were reconfirmed as greatest fear/desire illusions in New Mutants v2 #2. SoM 00:52, 18 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Revert War?

[edit]

Can we NOT get into a revert war over this image, please? It looks like the original (nonprovocative) image of Dani Moonstar has been painstakingly rescanned by SOM. Given the level of effort this takes, I think you should at the very least put some discussion down before you just revert away the work, DrBat. The other art is imo better, and it shows a clearer and better view of her face.--DrBat 00:59, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You can see her whole face in both images. And Khary Randolph's work I wouldn't wish on a comic I wanted cancelled...

And, of course, I scanned the image myself, whereas using an image cribbed from a fansite can cause FU problems. - SoM 02:52, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I've emailed the moderators a while ago, and they say its ok for me to use their image scans. The only images I need specific permission for are stuff like their fanart, ect.
And despite saying how horriblt Khary's work is, you have yet to give any real reasons why.--DrBat 02:56, 31 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Used with permission" is a reason to shoot on sight.

What, do I need to show the email again like I did with that Deadpool image? --DrBat 20:50, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And it's hugely stylised, with claws instead of fingers, weird faces and horrible anatomy. - SoM 20:43, 2 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think we can keep this scan of Dani but still find one a little better that looks more like her. What do you think?

We ought to update her main photo of how she currently looks-- not a shot from 1983.

We go with most iconic, not most recent. That violates WP:Recentism.Luminum (talk) 00:49, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In this case, I believe more recent = more iconic. Lots42 (talk) 21:40, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you are asking why I believe such it's because more people have seen her out of the black and yellow costume then in. Such as her teacher work in Avengers Iniative and New X-Men Academy. And said mentioned costume just didn't last that long in the comics. Lots42 (talk)

Afiliations?

[edit]

How can she have "affiliations: none" but then a whole slew of groups she has been affiliated with. If at the current time she doesn't have any affiliations - the there needs to be "currently none" because to me the way it is now just doesn't look right. --Mr Vain 17:43, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Suicidal?

[edit]

Isn't it highly misleading to have her in a category called "suicidal fictional characters"? This doesn't describe her personality in the least and resulted from her brush with the dark magic of the Demon Bear.

I was under the impression the category was also for characters who contemplated suicide, which Danielle did because she feared the Demon Bear so much. Lots42 07:43, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recently added source

The issue with the added source and statement is explained here, Talk:Karma_(comics)#Recently_added_source as the same issue applies.Luminum (talk) 17:49, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moonstar's death

[edit]

I noticed there was zero mention of the brief encounter but rather long lasted effect of the teams death by the Beyonder. The Beyonder killed all of the New Mutants, then brought them back to life and left them with the memory of that ordeal. As a result, the time also coinciding with the absence of Prof X, the students became clients/students of the White Queen since she is a counselor as well. This took a long time to finally resolve. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.166.83.67 (talk) 12:43, 2 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You're Missing a Codename

[edit]

Danielle Moonstar also briefly used the codename Spellbinder. Refer to the X-Men/Micronauts limited series, and you'll see her very clearly referred to as Spellbinder. 2603:9000:201:4000:4CE3:9E44:2072:9702 (talk) 11:30, 4 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
