How is this a concept album?

[edit]

I don't think it is. Elaborate packaging aside, it just sounds like a collection of unrelated songs. In this interview, DDY is talking about the concept albums of Styx, and goes straight from Pieces of Eight to Paradise Theater:

" . . . Pieces of Eight was an album about that, about how money changes things.

Next concept album was actually Paradise Theater. . . ."

"Borrowed Time"/"Why Me"

[edit]

It would be great to have a source regarding these two singles and the threat by Tommy Shaw to leave the band. "Why Me" charted in February 1980 and "Borrowed Time" in April, the reverse of what's presented here. (Catalog numbers would also help.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Calliaume (talkcontribs) 16:05, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Further to this, catalog numbers for the two singles are as follows: "Why Me" - 2206 (per Billboard magazine, 12/22/79 "Borrowed Time" - 2228 (per photo on Wikipedia page for that single) Calliaume

Boat on the River

[edit]

Boat on the River did not fail to chart as a single in the US. It was never released as a single in the US. That single was only released in the UK. 68.48.17.12 (talk) 10:01, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
