I'm not totally hep to the categorization system, but I wonder if it might not be better to add Aubrey to the categories "antiquarian" and "biographer" as well as "archaeologist". Although Aubrey was a pioneering archaeologist, I think a good case could be made for "biographer" being the most apt category for Aubrey, if a single category had to be chosen. --12.64.6.12 04:49, 5 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Also, the link for Brief Lives seems to go to a modern comic book series of the same name, instead of Aubrey's Brief Lives

Stonehenge

[edit]

I find it odd that there is no mention of Stonehenge in this article. The Britiannica cites him as the discoverer of the 'Aubrey Holes.'

Brief Lives

[edit]

The link to this work gives an error. Google only has volume 2 of the work as a full view and not even snippets of anything else. 4.249.3.242 (talk) 13:54, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Google link completely broke. I fixed it (but only found a snippet view), and added a link to a scan of Volume 1 by the Internet Archive made in 2007. [1]. I wonder if the IA or Cornell mistakenly omitted volume 2. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 09:36, 29 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
