The red box at the bottom of this page contains a number of errors. The list of universities there is incomplete (there are 11 universities, 2 regional higher education centers, and 1 environmental research center in the system); the reference to "joint campuses" is inaccurate (they are regional higher education centers); and the list of research centers is inaccurate (it should only reference the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science.) It is unclear what can be done to resolve this issue. Feb. 1, 2019 1:12pm — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lurbabes (talkcontribs) 18:13, 1 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason, this page has ceased to parse correctly in Firefox. Everything is ending up inside the infobox after two lines which just say "". Any idea what might be going on? -Howardjp 17:11, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)

The problem isn't exclusive to Firefox, but it probably relates to the current database problems. See if it corrects itself in 24 hours; if not, then we may have a bigger problem.-FZ 18:20, 19 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Poll on University Naming Conventions

[edit]

A new survey has been created to resolve whether or not the University System of Maryland campus in College Park should be refered to simply as "University of Maryland". This poll also proposes an amendment to Wikipedia:Naming conventions to address similar ambiguities at other schools. Dragons flight 18:50, Mar 27, 2005 (UTC)

  • Please note that the poll will be closing in about 1 more day, and the issue of what to call the University of Maryland at College Park is still pretty close to call. So, if you have an opinion on this issue, please visit the page and say so. Dragons flight 18:31, Apr 9, 2005 (UTC)

Overseas branches

[edit]

The University of Maryland had overseas branches, e.g. in Munich, Germany. U of M, Munich closed when the US Army left Munich. Can anybody contribute to this theme? --Turan MUC (talk) 10:05, 4 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Region served

[edit]

So the "Region served" lists:

Isn't that also known as "Maryland"? Is there any part of the state not in those three areas? - Qwerty0 (talk) 16:00, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. We can address this using Template:Infobox university instead of the more generic infobox that is currently being used. ElKevbo (talk) 22:01, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
