FM Rainbow Channel is not exclusive to Mumbai. Rather, All India Radio has two different nomenclatures for its chain of FM Radio stations. Those FM stations which are operating in Metros i.e., Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai are called FM Gold, other FM stations which are operating in other parts of the country are called FM Rainbow.

Amruthavarshini, the first exclusive classical music channel of All India Radio is operating from Bangalore on 100.1 MHz.

The above information is not accurate.

AIR operates two FM Radio stations in Mumbai - FM Rainbow (107.1 MHz) and FM Gold (100.7 MHz) The difference between the two stations is in its programming and content. FM Gold is solely dedicated to old songs - songs from the 70s/80s and the decades before that, while FM Rainbow does not restrict itself to any particular era. However, one may find more contemporary songs on FM Rainbow. FM Rainbow was earlier called FM Metro, the name was changed to FM Rainbow in 2002. FM Rainbow transmits praograms 24 hrs a day in the all the Metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Calcutta). Each Metro has its own FM Rainbow station.

FM Rainbow operates in mumbai,Kanpur, Bangalore and many other cities as well but the above information " Amruthavarshini, the first exclusive classical music channel of All India Radio is operating from Bangalore on 100.1 MHz." I m afraid tht the information provided is incorrect it operates in bangalore with 101.3MHz. And as far as my knowledge goes this is the frequency which we can tune in to rainbow in bangalore.....
