I've written this mostly to put the context for moving the Loiseau suicide out of the Loiseau suicide. As I understand it, Gault Millau primarily challenged the Michelin guide for quality a few decades back (1970s ..) and for influence more in the 1980s and 1990s. Someone who knows this history should write more. Also about the rise of Nouvelle Cuisine to which Gault Millau is linked.

Ranking

[edit]

Marc Veyrat received 20/20...

...for both his restaurants: Auberge de l'Eridan (currently La Maison de Marc Veyrat, open in the spring/summer/fall seasons) and La Ferme de mon Père (open in the winter season).

Changed countries

[edit]

Made a change in the other countries examples: There is as yet no guide for the UK. There are guide for Austria and the Benelux. There is also a seperate guide for the Netherlands, but since this is also part of the benelux edition, I did not think in worthwhile to mention. -- mcdefize 2005-03-14
