Are these guys in any way related to π the movie? Their computation of π in a small appartment with a hommade computer resembles some of plot of the film. —BenFrantzDale 02:19, Apr 23, 2005 (UTC)

Split up into two entries?

[edit]

Does anyone else think that maybe this should be split up into two entries, or maybe two entries in addition to this one, seeing as Gregory Chudnovsky received a MacArthur Fellowship in 1981? cbustapeck 14:14, 12 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There was an article about the brothers in The New Yorker called "The Mountains of Pi" dated March 2, 1992.Rjcm 01:38, 23 June 2007 (UTC)Rjcm[reply]

Review comments

[edit]

Some suggestions for improvement as the article is expanded:

  • Consideration should be given to splitting the article into separate articles covering the contributions of the two brothers
  • Template:Infobox Scientist should be added
  • Photograph should be added from a source with a free license
  • Basic biographical information required, including date of birth, positions held with dates
  • After expansion, the main body of the article should be divided into appropriate subheadings
  • Information on research should be expanded, and references required
  • A list of key publications would be interesting
  • References should be expanded and preferably converted to inline format. The details for the 1992 New Yorker article cited are required
  • External links present which could be used to expand article

Relation to Maria Chudnovsky

[edit]

Are these two relatives of Maria Chudnovsky? Given Maria and Gregory are both Soviet-born mathematicians living in the northeast US, won McArthur Fellowships, and share a last name, this is a natural question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.215.104.157 (talk) 10:52, 14 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
