Body Composition

[edit]

I know air displacement plethysmography is at the heart of the BodPod, used to assess %bodyfat by outfits like the NFL and the Clinical Nutrition Research Center ...--Billymac00 (talk) 20:23, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

I can't understand why these are separate pages. Optoelectronic plethysmography is barely a stub. WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:05, 2 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is the pressure change in PSI/KPa or altitude/depth? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.28.231.231 (talk) 02:11, 21 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Calibration

[edit]

It should be pointed out that plethysmographs need to be calibrated for the volume of the individual inside them, often using a calibration syringe to change the volume of the apparatus by a known quantity with the person inside, and then use the detected pressure change to calculated the starting volume.

I'm struggling to find a citation for this - I will leave that for more practiced individuals - but it's obvious if you think about it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.35.242.185 (talk) 13:28, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
