Image copyrights

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:Oxumare2.jpg. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release it under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much, Edwin Stearns | Talk 20:33, 10 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Please delete image Image:Oxumare2.jpg. Jurema Oliveira 04:55, 14 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Notability of Ysamur Flores Peña

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Ysamur Flores Peña, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Ysamur Flores Peña seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Ysamur Flores Peña, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Dona Estelita.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dona Estelita.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 06:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FIPS codes are different from ISO 3166

[edit]

I noticed that you've made changes to FIPS codes to be the same as ISO 3166. Actually, they're quite different. For example, the ISO country code of Algeria is DZ, but the FIPS country code is AG. You can take a look at the comparison here: [1]. I've reverted your changes accordingly. Thanks! Chanheigeorge (talk) 08:42, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ibeji picture

[edit]

In January you asked me to put my ibeji twins picture into Commons. That was more of a problem for me than I expected, but I think it has finally happened. At least the image is in Commons, but how to use it I do not understand. --Dumarest (talk) 20:42, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but there is no page at that wiki for the link change you made... Cirt (talk) 03:29, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Portal:Contents/Portals

[edit]

Not sure why you added two links to pt wiki at Portal:Contents/Portals. Cirt (talk) 07:11, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not quite sure I understand, but let's please not have two interwiki links to the same wiki project on the same page at one time. Cirt (talk) 19:32, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Olá Jurema

[edit]

Olá Jurema! I just wanted to say hi, since I see your name in my watchlist all the time. Since you are adding interwiki links to lots of templates that I made. And thanks, I like those interwiki links. It is fun to see that the templates are being copied to the other language editions of Wikipedia.

Greetings from freezing Sweden, Northern Europe,

--David Göthberg (talk) 01:55, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David, you did a wonderful job and I'm not copying, I'm translating to my language so that it is also seen in Portuguese and can understand what they say, I think it should be translated into all languages as a model and show work to the world, should also have your signature so that everyone could know who was the author of such fine work. In fact I see the Wiki is unique in several languages. I do not speak English only translate gloogle in order to communicate with you. Please excuse me if I'm doing something wrong, please tell me if I should stop. Jurema Oliveira (talk) 06:27, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I like that you are translating my templates to the Portuguese Wikipedia. And Google translate is fascinating, I can understand perfectly what you are writing. So have a nice day, and happy editing!

File source problem with File:Imagem8.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Imagem8.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:43, 6 April 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 05:43, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lista De Religiões listed at Redirects for discussion

[edit]

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Lista De Religiões. Since you had some involvement with the Lista De Religiões redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. TheChampionMan1234 11:10, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
