Radio Work on NBC

[edit]

The article completely omits Benny's remarkable NBC years (which included JELL-O as a sponsor) which were actually his most famous, aside from later television work. It seems that much more needs to be added to the radio section of the article. Jamesmarcus (talk) 20:30, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, an article that omits the JELL-O years, the most formative of his career, is seriously deficient.

Jack and 39.

[edit]

One of Jack's many running gags was claiming to be 39 years old long after he'd reached 60. A friend once told me that he froze his "official age" at 39 because it was funny, but "40 isn't funny anymore." This was a well known part of his stage persona, but it's only aluded to once, with no explanation. I don't have the time to hunt down the needed citations, but if anybody's interested, this would make a good addition to the article. JDZeff (talk) 20:37, 25 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mary, "if at all"

[edit]

"Hence, Livingstone appeared rarely if at all on the television show."

Mary did indeed make several appearances on the TV show during the 1950s, so the "if at all" phrase is incorrect and unnecessary filler. 2600:1700:CA10:18A0:55BE:28DF:7194:5FE8 (talk) 20:19, 15 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I found a link. Maybe the other one was a typo. https://archive.org/details/JackBennyHour1965

I think it was the time, as that was 58:04
