Removed original research
[edit]I've removed a large amount of original research from this article that related Hedonism, the philosophical movement developed in the 18th century on the basis of a few ancient Greek philosophical schools, to many other philosophical movements throughout history. This is not a catch-all article for any philosophical movement that happened to include some sort of concept of pleasure. If reliable academic sources happen to compare other philosophical movements to Hedonism, they can certainly be included in this article with support from those secondary sources. But without that secondary source support, doing so constitutes original research. - car chasm (talk) 20:02, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
- I agree. It might well be that some of the removed passages describe forms of hedonism but we need a source that says so. I checked a few of the sources and they didn't mention the term "hedonism". Phlsph7 (talk) 20:07, 3 February 2023 (UTC)
