I play a mean shoe horn in a band. Chris Buckey 16:20, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I really enjoy shoe horns, they make my life a lot easier. Thank You Shoe Horns!!

Absolutely. I can't stand it when there aren't any shoe horns available and I have to slide my thumb between the back of the shoe and my heel. That can hurt!

Why is it called a horn?

Why? I think it's a bit like the Pot Noodle horn. Anyway, a lot of shoe stores these days require that customers use a shoe horn when trying on leather shoes, as to not forcibly bend the shoe and ruin it forever. Not sure if that is worth putting in, but meh, most shoe stores have a show horn next to the other essential tools, like that weird foot measure thing. Those things are scary. And does anyone else realize right at the last minute, when getting your foot size checked, that you haven't washed your feet in days and your still wearing your manky old socks from a week ago? That's so gross, I don't envy any sales girl that has to go near my hooves JayKeaton 21:59, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One word or two?

[edit]

Wiktionary has an entry for "shoehorn", not "shoe horn". Should this article be renamed without the space? ~ Booya Bazooka 16:40, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
