Hi Townbully, and welcome to Wikipedia!

You might want to familiarize yourself with Wiki markup a little more. Please don't use unnecessary HTML in Wikipedia articles. Instead of '<hr>' you can use '----'. sugarfish 19:41, 19 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Right on. Thanks. Townbully 00:29, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)

You put a space before your reply... Was that intentional? Did you notice that it formats your text like a <pre> block?

F o r   e x a m p l e !

sugarfish 03:00, 20 Aug 2003 (UTC)

Yep, good for code examples:

for(int i = 0 ; i < len ; i++)
    DoSomething(items[i]);

I added the space to set my response off a little.

  • I suppose I could have used a list item or something...

I think you should write up the Fall of Saigon article! I'm more of a WWII buff (and english) so it's not my 'area'! sugarfish 03:07, 21 Aug 2003 (UTC)

  • Yes. I did intend to do the Fall of Saigon, but wanted to sit down with some of my books before I added anything. Perhaps the Seige of Dien Bien Phu would also be appropriate to add as well. Thanks for the help and encouragement! Wikipedia is awesome!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tunnel rat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://tools.wmflabs.org/copyvios/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Tunnel+rat&oldid=&action=search&use_engine=1&use_links=1&turnitin=0. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Grey Baskerville has left the building

[edit]

After surviving AfDs, Doug Thorley and Magoo are still up, but both could use better sourcing. I'm wondering if you've got back issues of Hot Rod, Car Craft, National Dragster, & the like that would help. Ditto on Jake, Showboat, The Mantaray, Ed Donovan, Donovan hemi, Silhouette, and a few others I've created lately. (Have a look at my userpage under the "Open Vanity" 3&4.) Any help you can be would be very much appreciated. TREKphiler any time you're ready, Uhura 06:38, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
