World War I

[edit]

I edited out the notion that 'it's a little known fact' that the Germans did enter Dutch territory during WWI. Such additional information does not have any relevance in a factual encyclopedia: it's up to the reader to think 'hey, I didn't know that' (or not).

In addition I edited out the notion that Germany 'violated Dutch neutrality'. This sounded too much like they just marched through the country while the Dutch government and army did nothing. In fact the German Empire kindly requested permission which was granted. There wasn't much of a choice of course, but that's beside the point. Dengo Mar 25, 11:15 (CET)

I would be interested to know which "small part" of the Netherlands was crossed by the German Army. How did the Netherlands manage to remain neutral? Please update with this info if you can. Thanks. DB.

Present Government Coalition

[edit]

I updated the reference to the present Government coalition in the Netherlands, which consists of Christian Democrats, Social Democrats and the small Christenunie Party. The previous Government coalition consisted of Liberals and Christian Democrats but has now been replaced. 87.80.96.66 (talk) 18:48, 1 January 2008 (UTC) (87.80.96.66 (talk))[reply]
