Hi. Can you please explain what you are doing at articles like Jodl, Alfred? Thanks, Morwen 20:06, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)

Hi, I am incorporating this: http://world.std.com/obi/Biographical/

Please stop adding the articles -- you are flooding them with that readme text, which we had agreed not to add here. Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:List_of_encyclopedia_topics/Biographies_A for a list -- if all links are red, add the one sentence bio only to the article, and mark it as a stub with {{msg:stub}} Jwrosenzweig 20:12, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I didn't know you had agreed on that. The legal disclaimer requires the readme file be copied exact. That's why I'm adding it. Debug 20:16, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

(posted via edit conflict) Please stop doing this. Many of the articles you are uploading are already covered in the Wikipedia under different names. Jodl, Alfred, for example, is covered at Alfred Jodl. Also, it is completely unnecessary to add that long list of abbreviations to every article. --Camembert

It is required by the copyleft license, I think. Debug 20:18, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)
In that case you may not add them to wikipedia at all. I'm going to add them to Wikipedia:Copyright_problems. Morwen 20:19, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)
I thought it was compatible to add it in Wikipedia with the README file added under each biography. Sorry If I was wrong. I'm not going to add more of these. Debug 20:20, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)
We could use it, but we also licence our text to other people without imposing this requirement on them. Frankly, even if that wasn't a legal issue anyway, I think that condition is far too much for us to want to accept. Morwen 20:22, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)

Unfortunately, you are adding a several kilobite long boilerplate to the pages, which makes the article not usable - and it isn't even formatted right. Please suspend doing this at least temporarily whilst this is discussed. I think the licence conditions require that boilerplate, which makes the text not reusable under the GFDL.

The other issue is that you ought to check if articles have already been created under their proper name. There is already quite a good Alfred Jodl page, for example. Morwen 20:13, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for trying to help, Debug. I hope this business won't put you off contributing in some other way. All the best--Camembert
