Notes
[edit]Things which should go in this category:
- People involved with the Manhattan Project (Fermi, Oppenheimer, Compton, etc.)
- Places specifically important to the Manhattan Project (Los Alamos, LBL, Oak Ridge, Hanford, etc.)
- Some organizations involved (Manhattan Project, OSRD, etc.)
But not too broadly -- I wouldn't include UC Berkeley or Univ. Chicago, or FDR, or United States of America, because they did so many other things other than the Manhattan Project that it just seems silly to make them part of its category. "Nuclear weapon" would not be part of the Manhattan Project -- it should be the other way around. Hiroshima is obviously related to the use of the atomic bombs, but to say it was part of the category "Manhattan Project" seems to be a stretch. Anyway, just some thoughts, to keep the category useful... --Fastfission 16:41, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)
